UWA Open Day is a great event where we have the chance to promote the University to the wider community. This year Open day is being held on Sunday 9th August. The success of this event relies on staff giving generously of their time to volunteer. If you are not planning to assist with your faculty events and are able to help we would value your support. In your role you would be asked to supervise 'Help Points' throughout the University grounds. This involves: - Supervising the Student volunteers (known as Help Point Ambassadors)
- Providing information to visitors who come to the Help Point for assistance
- Ensuring the smooth running of your Help Point
This is an important role and full training will be provided to ensure that you are fully prepared for the event. There are 2 staff training session options: - Thursday 30 July at 9.30am - 10.30am.
- Tuesday 4 August 12.30pm - 1.30pm
It is a requirement of participation that staff attend one of these sessions. Each Help Point Coordinator will be required to work a 3.5 hour shift on the day. Timeslots are either: - 9.30am-1.00pm or
- 12.30pm-4.00pm
All Help Point Coordinators will receive: - A UWA T-shirt to wear on the day
- Full training for the role
- A lunch voucher on the day
- An invitation to the Open Day Thank You Function
- Entry into the draw for a voucher to the value of $120 for The University Club
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. SIGNUP IS NOW CLOSED.
