Study Share Groups

Peer-assisted study groups are designed to give you a chance to learn collaboratively, and to provide you with the opportunity to ask questions in a non-threatening environment. Each study group consists of 3-8 students who meet for an hour a week. Groups are formed subject to demand. Study groups meet on campus at a time which is suitable for all participants.

What participants have said about their experience of Study Groups:

'I got some new ideas on how to get my own ideas down onto paper in an essay, rather than just a 1000 words of quotes'
Visual Arts 1102 Participant

'The chance to ask those dumb questions. You know the ones, the ones that the lecturer and small group teacher just assume you know the answer to already'
Law Study Group Participant

How do I become involved?

Study groups are available to first year students within the UniSkills Programme. You need to be a UniSkills member in order to be eligible to apply. You can apply for UniSkills 2009 or contact a member of the UniSkills staff for enquiries.
