The UniSkills 2010 Application Form
will be available in January.
Just starting uni? Are you new to Perth, or you don't know
many other people coming to study at UWA? Do you think being a
student could be tough, due to money worries or issues with your
health, your workload, your English language skills or any other
reason? If so, you are not on your own. UniSkills can help you
settle into studying and enjoying life on campus.

In 2009, Judy and Sarah travelled to Townsville to
present a paper on UniSkills. This came about as a result of our
recent success with the ALTC (Australian Learning & Teaching
Council) Award for Programs that Enhance Learning. UniSkills was
the only winner in the First Year Experience Category.
In preparation for this conference, we invited some students
to come and help us put together a video to show the benefits of
the UniSkills programme.

| UniSkills began in 1987 with 30 students and in 2009 had 520 students in the programme. Over the past 21 years UniSkills has supported over 4,200 students in its year-long programme.
