The University of Western Australia is committed to a diverse student population as it provides an enriching experience for all our students and staff. In particular, we would like more students from the following groups to consider coming to our University: - Students from low socio economic backgrounds;
- Students from culturally and linguistically diverse communities;
- Students from rural and isolated regions;
- Indigenous students;
- Students with disabilities;
- Students from new and emerging communities.
In order to provide insight to uni life, UniDiscovery organises the following activities: - Campus visits for a priority list of school
- Themed lectures - EXSCITEMENT is held to acknowledge National Science Week
- Shadow a Student for year 12 TEE bound students who are teamed up with a university student to discover campus life
- Setting future goals - workshops which provide information about UWA and alternative pathways to entry for students who have arrived in Australia either on refugee or humanitarian visas
- Talks at high schools by Uni Role Models who speak about life at UWA so as to help students with their transition from school to univeristy.
