Unfortunately we have had to cancel the race this semester as there were not enough teams entered to make it a challenging event. Apologies to those teams who entered...maybe next year!
What is the Amazing Race?The Amazing Race is a fun day out organised by the UniMentor program. Teams will depart from the Oak Lawn and will answer a series of clues as you travel around Perth to lead you to the final pitstop where lunch will be supplied. Teams have the opportunity to gather clues and score bonus points along the way. There will be fun prizes for the winning teams. When is the Race?The race is held in Semester 2 during the year. Who can participate?All Participants MUST be current UWA students. Teams who have one or more members who are a UniMentor or mentee will accrue bonus points so we particularly encourage mentors to get together with their mentees and friends and form a team. What does it cost and where do I pay?Team entry costs is $20 per team, the cost will cover lunch and all other activities on the day. Once you pay, you will receive an entry pass for each team member that you must wear during the race. If you do not have a team and enter as an individual, the cost is $5 per person. Payment can be made at Student Services. Just come to the first floor room 1.09 or 1.08. We will give you a receipt and your entry passes. What do we get for the team entry price?All teams will receive a 'survival pack' to assist them during the race. Lunch and snacks will be supplied during the day and there are some fun prizes for winning teams! How do I make up a team?Teams can consist of 3-5 people, although 4 members is considered ideal. Team entry is $20 for a team of 3, 4, or 5. Get together your friends to make up a team. If you don't have enough people for a team, you can enter as an individual or enter a team and advise us that you are accepting additional people in your team (you can do this on the team form). How do I enter?Teams can enter at the team entry link above. If you don't have a team, you can still enter as an individual at the link above and we will find you a team to join. |
