Welcome to UWA's transition website for staff. At this site you will be able to access information about transition to university study, particularly relating to First Year students. This website has been developed as part of the First Year Initiative (FYI) Project funded with a grant from the Registrar's Initiative Fund in 2004. As time progresses, this website will become a centralised resource of First Year transition ideas and initiatives from across the university. Follow the links to find out more! First Year Initiative Staff Survey: Results - This is where staff have shared their experiences of working (either directly or indirectly) with first year students. The results are presented here in a discussion of the three major areas of transition: Personal, Academic and Administrative adjustment. Each discussion includes a summary of the issues, standard practice and specific initiatives relating to each adjustment type.
