Changing individual units
Courses at UWA vary in the amount of choice students have when selecting units. At one extreme there are degrees that are completely prescribed (eg. Medicine). At the other extreme are courses that let you choose units that interest you within your degree (eg. Arts). Most courses fall somewhere in between and have a set of core units plus electives. Getting adviceIf you are thinking about changing units it is best to talk with your Faculty Adviser to ensure your study choice is appropriate. They will also explain the consequences of change for your second and third year study options. Watch your dates! Before you change units, make sure you are within the critical dates. There are cut-off dates for adding and dropping units. Be careful about this. If you drop a unit after the formal date set by your Faculty, you will be considered as having failed the unit. Not a good idea! For further clarification, please visit Student Administration in Hackett Hall. Changing your enrolmentOnce you are sure about changing units, you'll need to change your enrolment through Student Administration or through your Student Connect account. |
