UWA Student Ambassadors

Are you interested in inspiring and guiding high schools students who may be interested in going to uni?

We would like to invite you to become involved in a new programme called Aspire UWA. Aspire aims to encourage students, who would not normally consider university as an option, to see the benefits and opportunities that university study offers. The programme will commence with Year 9 students and support them through to successful transition to university.

This is a new Commonwealth funded programme that will work with a selected 23 schools in the Pilbara region and in Outer Metropolitan Perth to raise aspirations for tertiary education.

We are seeking UWA students who are graduates of the selected ‘Aspire’ schools to act as UWA Ambassadors. This could involve visits to the high school you attended to talk to students, acting as a mentor to students online as well as becoming involved with activities on the UWA campus. Training will be provided.

Volunteering as an Ambassador for Aspire UWA provides an opportunity to become involved in a worthwhile project whilst developing a range of skills that will be looked upon favourably by your future employers.
